The Young Israel of North Woodmere had humble beginnings in a converted house
on Golf Drive in 1977. Over a quarter of a century later, the shul inhabits a
beautiful building on Hungry Harbor Road, and has attracted over 100 member families.
In additionl to daily minyanim, rarely a day goes by that there is not a class
or activity taking place in the synagogue.
Youth programs, sporting events, adult classes, social events, and special
holiday programs make it one of the most active synagogues in the Five Towns.
Despite its explosive growth, YINW has maintained its close, family-like atmosphere
and continues to enjoy its reputation as being one of the friendliest sysnagogues
in the Five Towns.
