Maot Chittin can also be given to Rabbi Septimus, but unlike Matanot L'Evyonim of Purim, Maot Chittin is best when distributed to the poor well in advance of Pesach. Donations can be via check to the shul or online (mark payment Maot Chittin or Pesach Poor) and will be distributed to people in need locally as well as to poor people in Sderot.

Warm Welcomes
YINW would like to welcome Jennifer and Michael Croog, who recently moved from Long Beach to North Woodmere along with their children, Ikey and Rafi.

March Meshuggas Update
Our president, Steve Hilsenrath, is still holding his own in the Fifth Annual YINW March Meshuggas Bracket Tournament Challenge with Zvi and Judy Gutman and Jordan Hiller rounding out the top three. Of course, there's plenty of basketball to be played still. Many thanks to Shapsie Markus once again for arranging this YINW event.

You Deserve a Break
Join your friends, shul and community for a stress-free, catered meal the Shabbat before Pesach. Besides the convenience, this is going to be a good time! Cost for members is $25 per adult and $10 per for child (ages 3-13). For non-members, the cost is $30 per adult and $15 per child. Space is limited so reserve your spot today at meal@yinw.org.

Please also make a note that YINW will be hosting a Kiddush after the 9:00am minyan at which there will be bread available for washing. As such, the shul is accommodating a chometz-free Shabbat.

Markus…Hiller…Need We Say More?
Since you have already reserved May 25th for the YINW's Annual Dinner at the Sephardic Temple, we'll be sending out invitations within the next few weeks. Join us in honoring Guests of Honor, Gitty and Shapsie Markus and Amy and Jordan Hiller. Since you’re already attending the dinner, we ask that you return the response cards once you receive them.

Clean Up Time
The shul will be thoroughly cleaned on March 30th for Pesach. Please refrain from bringing chametz into the sanctuary area thereafter until after Pesach. In addition, please clean out your lockers and any other places you might have food stored. Also check if your coats are hanging in the coat room.

Our tireless first lady, Melinda Hilsenrath, is looking for those interested in welcoming new families, whether by calling, hosting a meal or just being a point of reference for a new family in the neighborhood. Please email Melinda at meln423@aol.com for more information.
