WINTER WONDERLAND
As everyone digs out from this past week’s blizzard, please be safe walking to and from shul with the ice and make sure to dress warmly as the temperature drops. Let’s daven for some warmer temperatures and nicer weather to enjoy the trees we celebrate on this Tu B’Shvat. Special thanks to all those who assisted in snow removal from the shul property.

Mazal Tov
Mazal Tov to Rabbi Shmuel and Rebbetzin Chana Rochel Witkin on the birth of a baby girl this past week. The community is invited to Kiddush following davening at KBH. 

Shabbat Kiddush
Kiddush following davening this week is sponsored by Michele and Yossi Tabak in commemoration of the yahrzeit of Yossi’s mother, Shaina Rochell Bat Yosef Mordachai, a”h and Shani and Kenny Feldhamer to honor American Democracy. In addition, Nomi and Asher Gul are also sponsoring for this week’s kiddush with dried fruit in honor of Tu B’shvat and in memory of Asher’s sister, Malca bat Yisroel, a”h and cousin, Ilan Yehuda ben Yoel, a”h.

Following the 8:00 Minyan Kiddush, there will be a chaburah at the Tabak house also in commemoration of the yahrzeit of Yossi’s mother, Shaina Rochell Bat Yosef Mordachai, a”h.

Neve Tzuf Update
We are pleased to report that three Palestinian men were formally accused this past Sunday of starting the fire in November that destroyed 17 homes and damaged 25 others in Neve Tzuf. The incident came during a wave of blazes across Israel that was described as an arson intifada at the time.

Sisterhood Karaoke Night
This Motzei Shabbat, February 11th the YINW Sisterhood is hosting a karaoke night in the YINW Social Hall at 8:00pm. Cost is $5 for members, $10 for non-members if paid RSVP by February 9th. Add an additional $5 if after the 9th. Pay online at yinw.shulcloud.com/payment/php

It’s Learning Time for the Men
All men are invited to a special chaburah, Marriage and Intimacy: The Men’s Turn. A sequel to the Rebbetzen’s program for women a few weeks back, the chaburah will be on Tuesday, February 28th, 9PM, at the home of Nissi Shapiro, 606 Diane Place.

Gearing Up for Purim
Once again, the YINW Sisterhood is organizing Purim Mishloach Manot! If you participated last year, you will automatically be included this year. If you are unable to pick up your basket, please let us know so that we can make a donation on your behalf. If you have not participated before, please contact us to join the list. If you prefer to be removed from this year’s list, contact us by March 1st, otherwise we will assume that you wish to continue being

What’s Purim Without a Carnival?
Get ready for an action packed, freilichen Purim Carnival Sunday, March 5th at 12:00pm. The Carnival will include games, an obstacle course, a dunk tank, food and drinks and so much more! The cost is free for Boosters, $10 for members and $15 for non-members with a maximum of $30 per family. The dunk tank is $3 per throw or $10 for 5 throws.
