Youth Program
The YINW Youth Department features weekly Shabbat groups for children from pre-school age through Bar or Bat Mitzvah. Our Shabbat morning program runs from 10:00 AM until approximately 11:30 PM. The program includes many fun activities and games. For all children from ages 9 through 12, it also includes Junior Congregation where our our youth learn the תפילה in a comfortable, educational environment. We also offer a youth program during our 8:00 AM Shabbat Minyan for pre-school age children.
Throughout the year, programs and events for our young people fill the calendar. Some of our annual activities include: Sukkah Decoration Making, Roller skating, Chanukah Party, Islanders Games, Ping Pong Tournament, Shavuos Learning Program, Friday Night Oneg, Chom Homoed Trips, Sukkah Hop, Movie Nights, Purim Party and many other events.

Become a Youth Booster!
Youth Booster children attend events for Free on Movie & Slice, Woodworking, Dance, Art and other popular youth events. There are a few exceptions in which they will receive discounts Chanukah, Purim Carnival and Chol Hamoed Trips. There are 3 levels YINW Full/Single Members $180, YINW Associate Members $270 and Non-Members $360 per year. Please join, membership has its privileges.
Youth Director
Rabbi Asher Klein
Rabbi Asher Klein joined the YINW Youth Department as youth director after many years of experience with youth and education. He currently is a rebbe and director of Student Activities at Manhattan Day School on the Upper West Side. He has previously taught as well at the Denver Academy of Torah and the Moriah School in Englewood NJ. Rabbi Klein also served as the Rabbi of the DAT Minyan in Denver CO as well as the Assistant Rabbi at Congregation AABJ&D in West Orange NJ. Rabbi Klein enjoys sports, playing guitar and drums, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. Rabbi Klein is joined by his wife Jessica and their children Eli, Dani, Sruli, and Shira.
