Yom HaShoah event hosted by Young Israel of North Woodmere, Thursday, April 28th, from 7:00 - 9:00 pm, featuring keynote speaker Bernd Wollschlaeger, MD, FAAFP, FASAM. Dr. Wollschlaeger grew up in Germany in the shadow of his father, a highly-decorated World War II tank commander and Nazi officer. He converted to Judaism, emigrated to Israel, and served in the Israel Defense Forces. Dr. Wollschlaeger is a board-certified family physician in private practice in Aventura, FL, with specialties in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine. He received his medical education in Germany and Israel and completed his residency training in the United States. A leader on prestigious medical boards and committees and a professor in several medical schools, Dr. Wollschlaeger is also the noted author of several books.
