ARKY STAIMAN - MY MISSION: LESSONS FROM GAZA
Wednesday, September 18, 2024 • 15 Elul 5784
8:00 PM - 10:00 PM634 Hungry Harbor RoadArky Staiman serves in the IDF reserves in an elite unit which everyone hoped would never need to be used. "Yasar" is the group which is tasked with body retrieval, even under enemy fire on an active battlefield. Their job is to make sure that fallen soldiers are not taken by the enemy, and that they come home to Israel for a proper burial. On October 7th, his decade of training was put to use. Navigating live grenades, terrorists on the loose, and booby-trapped buildings was just the start of the challenging months that lay ahead. Arky's upbeat attitude and messages of positivity - even amid devastation - are infectious, and it will be impossible not to be impacted after hearing his story.
